
Lincoln Ellis is a partner at Ahakista Capital. He most recently served as Chief Investment Strategist for Northern Trust’s Global Family Office and Private Investment Company practice, advising on or managing $115 billion in assets. Previously, he completed PhD coursework at the New School for Social Research, then joined Columbia University as a start-up entrepreneur with a grant exploring the internet’s early impact on academic publishing. He built two additional internet-based companies in IP telephony and direct-to-consumer marketing.
Lincoln began his investment career at Morgan Stanley in the late 1990s, serving as CIO of a $2 billion AUM/AUA team. In 2005, he founded Astor Janssen, advising families, multi-family offices, and institutions on asset allocation, risk management, and manager due diligence. He also managed global macro and fixed income vehicles.
