William Callanan is the CEO of Syzygy Investment Advisory, specializing in global macroeconomic thematic strategies. His prior roles include Partner at Key Square Capital Management, Senior Strategist and Global Macroeconomic Portfolio Manager at Soros Fund Management, CIO at Fortress Commodities Fund, and CIO of the Rubicon Equity and Commodity Fund. 

 

Prior to that, William worked with Stanley Druckenmiller, as a Principal and Managing Director of Duquesne Capital Management, with a focus on commodity and cyclical equity investments worldwide.

He is a Benefactor of the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and a founding Partner of Oxford Institute’s China Energy Program. 

 

William holds a B.S. in International Finance and Monetary Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in Asian Studies.
